9/11 Memorial Fishing Tournament

9/11 Memorial Striper Tournament Rules and Regulations

$100 Entry Fee   $25 Big Fish Entry Fee

You must be 18 years old or be accompanied by an adult 18 or older

You may fish alone or with up to 4 people per boat 

You can only catch up to 8 fish and no more on tournament day

Absolutely no culling allowed

All Virginia striper regulations for Smith Mountain Lake must be followed

All fees must be paid Friday before the tournament 

Each fish weighted in must be caught with a Rod and Reel and Hook 

You can Troll, Jig, or Live bait fish in these tournaments 

Each team member is responsible for their own fishing licenses and boat registrations

In the event of a tie the award will go to the person with the biggest fish if that is a tie, we will then go by who checked in first

Only one big fish per team can win a prize, we will only check 2 fish for your big fish.

You must be in line at check-in by the time given for this tournament or the disqualified.

No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the boat or at weigh-in. Please respect others who do not drink and children who are present 

Any protest must be submitted to the tournament director within ten minutes after weigh-in in final.

Guides are eligible to fish in the tournament; However, you cannot hire a guide to fish with you during the tournament.

To be considered a youth you must be 15 years old or younger.
